Sam Walton Community Scholarship
(Four Year College, Two Year College, University/Scholarship)
Purpose: For graduating high school seniors who are not employed by Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. or dependents of Wal-Mart employees. Based on financial need, academic progress, school and community involvement and leadership. A one-time, non-renewable award of $3000 for tuition, books fees, and on-campus room and board at an accredited two- or four-year U.S. institution. Qualif.: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident, a graduating high school senior with at least a 2.5 cumulative g.p.a., not a Wal-Mart associate or dependent of an associate, and be able to demonstrate financial need. Additional qualifications apply.
