The Hosa Technology Audio Engineering Program Scholarship is provided to encourage and support the educational growth of a newly enrolling Audio Engineering Program student.The scholarship will be awarded in Fall 2014 to a new student (US or non-US citizens) enrolling in the MI Audio Engineering Program who clearly articulates their career goals in the music industry, as well as why they should be considered for the scholarship in a 500 word essay.

Eligibility rules and general information:

1. The Richard C. Maguire Scholarship is awarded annually to a student working on a
Master’s degree or Doctorate in history, such as, US, world, military, or religion, or a
related field, such as archaeology or museum studies.

The Foundation of the American College of Healthcare Executives established this scholarship in honor of Foster G. McGaw, the founder of the American Hospital Supply Corporation. The American College of Surgeons offers International Guest Scholarships to young surgeons from countries other than the United States or Canada who have demonstrated strong interests in teaching and research. The scholarships, in the amount of $10,000 each, provide the Scholars with an opportunity to visit clinical, teaching, and research activities in North America and to attend and participate fully in the educational opportunities and activities of the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress.

This scholarship endowment was originally provided through the legacy left to the College by Dr. Paul R. Hawley (FACS Hon), former College Director. More recently, gifts from the family of Dr. Abdol Islami (FACS), the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, and others to the International Guest Scholarship endowment have enabled the College to expand the number of scholarship awards.

2013-2014 Scholarships Available
COAG will be offering three scholarships this year.  One for $1,500, one for $1,000 and one for $500.
Eligibility:
The COAG Scholarship is open to any Georgia high school senior (or a GED equivalency dated December 31, 2013 to May 31, 2014) who is a United States and Georgia citizen graduating by the spring of 2014 or any student currently enrolled in a school of accredited higher education located in Georgia, who is a United States and Georgia citizen, is eligible to apply for a 2014 COAG Scholarship.
You must be seeking an undergraduate degree in a field related to government/law enforcement, political science, accounting/finance, business, or pre-law.
Deadline:
All applications must be postmarked or hand delivered no later than April 1, 2014 or they will be deemed ineligible.  Applications mailed to any other address will not be forwarded or considered.

$20,000 AFSA Scholarship Program

The American Fire Sprinkler Association Scholarship Program is unlike many traditional scholarship essay contests. That’s because instead of writing an essay, applicants will read one. That’s right!

to apply, students must go online and read a short essay about sprinklers and fire safety. After finishing, they complete a 10-question quiz on what they just read. Each correct answer gives the student a chance at winning one of 10 $2,000 scholarships (maximum 10 chances per entrant).

The American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA) Scholarship Contest is open to high school seniors in the United States who plan to further their education at a college/university or certified trade school in the United States. Rennesha Patterson Vocal Musicianship Scholarship, Musicians Institute, USA

Rennesha Annette Patterson’s life is nothing short of a beautiful melody. Born in San Francisco, California on September 18, 1986, Rennesha always had a passion for music—as a young girl she loved to sing and perform, whether at home in the living room or at her grandmother’s church in the choir. At the age of seven, Rennesha was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. Despite undergoing chemotherapy and having a leg amputated, she always refused to put dis- in her ability. After earning her high school diploma, Rennesha moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue her dream of being a vocalist.

She began attending Musicians Institute in 2009 and during her time here, she touched many lives with her kindness, love, compassion, and a big smile that would light up any room. Many people never even knew she had cancer. Rennesha used her experience to reach out to others to inspire them. She never dwelled on the loss of her leg and always said ‘life is a gift; keep on going.’ Rennesha Annette Patterson departed this life on Friday, July 13, 2012 in Santa Monica, CA. She will be greatly missed and we honor her legacy with this award.
