$5000 Worldstudio Foundation Scholarship Program
(Four Year College, Postgraduate, Two Year College, University, Vocational/Occupational/Scholarship)
Purpose: Worldstudio Foundation provides scholarships to minority and economically disadvantaged students who are studying the design/architecture/arts disciplines in American colleges and universities. Among the foundation's primary aims are to increase diversity in the creative professions and to foster social and environmental responsibility in the artists, designers, and studios of tomorrow. To this end, scholarship recipients are selected not only for their ability and their need, but also for their demonstrated commitment to giving back to the larger community through their work. Focus: Architecture; Arts; Fashion Design; Interior Design; Filmmaking/Video; Graphics/Graphic Arts/Printing; Industrial Design; Landscape Architecture Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
Funds Avail.: Minimum no. of awards: 30. Maximum no. of awards: 50. Minimum award amount: $1000. Maximum award amount: $5000. No. and Amount Awarded Last Calendar Year: 48 scholarship(s), totalling $88,500.
