International Students Work Study Awards, University of Oregon, USA



A number of awards of a maximum of $6,000 each will be made to international students studying at the University of Oregon in 2013-14. Students who receive work-study awards will be eligible to apply for work-study jobs during the 2013-14 academic year. Although this award does not guarantee an on-campus job, opportunities for on-campus employment will be greatly increased.

The MI 35th Anniversary Vocal Scholarship will be awarded in Spring 2013 to a student (US or non-US citizens) enrolling in the Associate of Arts in Performance (Vocal) Program who demonstrates outstanding vocal skills in any genre.

The scholarship is applicable for students enrolled in the Vocal Performance Program only, and may not be transferred to “non-performance program” emphases (Audio Engineering, Music Business, Independent Artist, Guitar Craft, or Film) within an AA degree.

The International Students Academic Merit Scholarship is open to new international students seeking a graduate or undergraduate degree. The scholarship covers 50 percent of the total of in and out-of-state tuition and maintenance fees only. No additional fees or costs are covered. The award is available for:

Eight semesters for undergraduate recipients
Five semesters for recipients seeking a master’s degree, or commensurate with the length of the program.

Independent Artist Scholarships, Musicians Institute, USA

Independent Artist Scholarships are available to applicants (both US and non-US citizens) enrolling in the Artist Certificate Program who demonstrate outstanding talent.

Available to international students and US citizens.
Scholarship applicants must have submitted the application for admission prior to the scholarship due date and must be entering the program for the first time.
May be applied toward the independent artist program (IAP) only.
The total scholarship amount will be divided by the total number of quarters in the particular program and credited toward each quarter’s tuition in equal amounts for as long as the student maintains a 3.5 gpa.
Scholarships are non-transferable, and may not be applied to any person, program, or start date other than the one for which it was originally awarded.
